Conservation Through Land Protection

There are many benefits of land conservation, from protecting plants, animals and their habitat; to ensuring that future generations can enjoy the natural beauty of the Southeast; to possible substantial Federal and State income taxPin Oak deductions and state tax credits.

Our Conservation program works with landowners to protect significant natural and resources in the southeast.

  • Fee-Simple Donations:

Landowners can choose to donate property to the land trust, giving up ownership.

  • Conservation Easements: Twelve Mile Creek

Landowners can retain ownership and use of the land but place a conservation easement on the property restricting anymajor changes to the landscape. "Learn more click here about conservation easements."
